The inner rocker panel and rear
body mount will be replaced
The rear inner quarter panel was
repaired with rivots and will be removed and new will be welded in.
An earlier repair of the back of
the previous photo.
This product will be used to protect
inner panels. In my opinion it has more advantages than Por 15.It can be applied over rust with the same results as Por 15.In
addition it has a long shelf life and sun doesn't effect the gloss.
The inner rocker panel and floor
replacment were welded in.With weld grinding and some body filler this section should look good.
The repair panel was placed
on the quarter and marked for the cut out.Notice all the dark areas on the cut out area. This is lead repairing 5 or 6 smaller
rust areas.
A view of the cut out area. With
the cut out it makes it easier to repair the inner panel.
Clamping the inner quarter panel in place for welding.
Another picture of the inner quarter.Nice
to be able to rotate the body.
It's coming together nice.Clamping
and welding the end cap and the inner and outer quarter panel.
Spraying the inner panels before
covering the quarter.
More spraying of the inside
of the outer quarter panel before welding on.
The quarter repair panel was welded
on.After welding it and not checking before hand it didn't have the right contour. From the middle at the top of the fender
skirt to the end of the repair panel the weld was cut.The panel had a bulge and was not straight so I clamped a pipe from
the back edge of the door to the tail light housing and rewelded. The fender skirt was checked for fit and the brackets mounted.
